Picture the scene: two gals, a bottle of wine and not an opener in sight.

In other words, it was a tragedy waiting to happen.

But Allison had recently seen a YouTube video she thought could help.

In said video a man opens a bottle by hitting the bottom against the wall until the cork pops out.

“You’re going to break the wall!” might be what you’re thinking.

It’s certainly what Jeremy, the guy who owns that house, was saying.

“That’s what the shoe is for” Allison responded.

Did you not notice the shoe?

You place the bottom of the bottle inside the heel of a tennis shoe before hitting it into the wall.

I’m not positive on the physics of this, but I’m pretty sure the shoe grants the bottle magical properties.

So Allison hit.

And hit.

And hit some more.
